A leading company in Fort Worth is seeking a dedicated individual for a full-time Bundler position. Responsibilities include stacking boxes, assisting operators, and ensuring quality control. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and some experience in the corrugated industry. This role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety protocols.
Job Type : Full-time
Responsible for all activities associated with stacking the equipment and helping the operators including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
Work in a non-climate environment, no experience needed.
Read and follow instructions on factory masters.
Set-up bundler, hold down arm, load former, and delivery end of machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
Secure proper cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags for production runs.
Stack finished boxes in accordance with factory master.
Ensure each unit has proper top and bottom cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags.
Monitor quality of boxes and report quality problems to Operator.
Assist operator and first helper as necessary.
Be willing to move up the line of progression to operator regardless of shift.
Ensure correct bundle and unit counts.
Report final count of piece unit to operator.
Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs and be proactive in equipment maintenance.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and good housekeeping.
Help operators adhere to production schedule, make recommendations for optimization, and report scheduling issues to Supervisor.
Management may assign additional duties.
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred candidates will have:
Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
Able to read a tape measure accurately and perform calculations involving percentages, measurement, volume, and rate, applying high school math concepts.
Ability to understand and carry out instructions in written, oral, or graphic form, and resolve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of equipment design, product layouts, specifications, and quality standards for efficient operation.
May require a current Lift Truck Operator License.
Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally sit. Must lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustments.
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, high places, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and loud noise.
Employee performance will be evaluated based on quality, cost, safety, customer satisfaction, productivity, personal growth, employee relations, and creativity, with standards set annually.
