Position: Production Operator

The production operator contributes to all phases of the production process, including operating automated equipment, diagnosing machinery failures, assisting with preventative maintenance, and maintaining sanitation standards. Operators must be capable of making production decisions, be flexible to rotate job assignments, and contribute to a safe work environment, ensuring product safety, legality, and quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Check production work schedules and report times.
2. Operate and monitor equipment such as mixers, dough pumps, dividers, rounders, and overhead proofers.
3. Perform sanitation and preventative maintenance.
4. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
5. Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and EEO standards.

Additional Responsibilities by Job Assignment:

• Scaler/Divider Operator: Scale ingredients, load/unload mixers, adjust dividers, and ensure quality standards.
• Wrapping Operator: Operate slicer, bagger, and tier equipment, check product quality, and verify loading accuracy.
• Palletizer: Verify product order, ensure proper program operation, and check pallets and slip sheets.

All employees are responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of products.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years of bakery or production experience.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
