Job summary

CWC Textron is a leading automotive supplier of cast camshafts, seeking energetic individuals for the Muskegon team as General Production. The Production Associate will be responsible for efficient and safe daily production, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities include operating various machinery, inspection, packing, and maintaining safety and cleanliness; overtime and short-notice shifts may be required. High school diploma or GED and manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience required.
• Basic computer knowledge is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate flame hardeners, ladles, grinders, straighteners, trim presses and other manufacturing machinery.
• Perform hand operations including inspection.
• Move materials and products within the facility using equipment.
• Package finished products for shipping.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Work overtime, weekends, and flexible hours as production schedules require.

Overview

CWC Textron is one of North America’s leading automotive suppliers of cast camshafts. We have a diverse customer base that includes all of the major OEMs. CWC Textron is seeking energetic, dedicated individuals to join the Muskegon team in the capacity of General Production. The Production Associate is a key position that is responsible for the efficient and safe daily production of cast camshafts to supply our customers in a manner that meets or exceeds their expectations.

Responsibilities

• Practice and promote safe working habits in compliance with all MIOSHA, Kautex, and CWC Textron safety standards.
• Effectively and safely operate flame hardeners, ladles, grinders, straighteners, trim presses, and other manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Perform hand operations including several types of inspection.
• Use various equipment to move materials, parts, and/or products within the facility.
• Package finished products for shipping.
• Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as directed by the production schedule, which may be unpredictable and require short‑notice overtime.
• Possess good attention to detail, even when performing repetitive work.
• Be team‑oriented and multitask‑oriented.
• Be technically oriented.
• Comply with all ISO 14001 standards.
• Comply with all IATF 16949 standards.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Customer service orientation.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Previous manufacturing experience required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Physically able to walk, bend, twist, and stand repeatedly.
