Job Description - General Production Operator (327982)

CWC Textron is one of North America's leading automotive suppliers of cast camshafts. We have a diverse customer base including all of the major OEMs.

CWC Textron is seeking energetic, dedicated individuals to join the Muskegon team in the capacity of General Production. The Production Associate is a key position responsible for the efficient and safe daily production of cast camshafts to supply our customers in a manner that meets or exceeds their expectations.

Responsibilities:

1. Practices and promotes safe working habits in compliance with all MIOSHA, Kautex, and CWC Textron safety standards.
2. Effectively and safely operates flame hardeners, ladles, grinders, straighteners, trim presses, and other manufacturing machinery and equipment.
3. Performs hand operations including several types of inspection.
4. Uses various equipment to move materials, parts, and/or products within the facility.
5. Packages finished products for shipping.
6. Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
7. Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as directed by the production schedule, which may be unpredictable and on short notice of required overtime.
8. Must have good attention to detail, even when doing repetitive work.
9. Team-oriented, multitask-oriented.
10. Is technically oriented.
11. Comply with all ISO 14001 standards.
12. Comply with all IATF 16949 standards.

Qualifications:

1. Basic Computer knowledge.
2. High School Diploma or GED.
3. Customer Service orientation.
4. Ability to work well within a team.
5. Previous manufacturing experience required.
6. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
7. Physically able to walk, bend, twist, and stand repeatedly.
