Job summary

International Paper is seeking a General Manufacturing and Production Worker at our Reading, PA facility. This 24/7 operation requires open availability for overtime on weekends and holidays, with duties including cleaning, supporting production, and safe equipment operation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, or 1–3 years related experience. Benefits and career development opportunities are available, with emphasis on safety and teamwork across our global packaging leader.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily cleaning and maintenance of work areas.
  • Support production needs, break reliefs, or operational tasks.
  • Operate and monitor equipment safely, including fork and clamp trucks, and report issues.
  • Assist with shipping needs and staging/reorganization as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment and use PPE as required.

Job Description
General Manufacturing and Production Worker (Starting Rate $25.50)

The Mill is a 24/7 operation which requires open availability for overtime during weekends and holidays.

  • Assists Mill with daily cleaning/maintaining of work areas.
  • Assist with production needs, break reliefs or operational needs.
  • Maintain and demonstrate safe, efficient use of fork and clamp trucks.
  • Inspects/monitors equipment under their responsibility and reports concerns/issues to supervisor.
  • Assist with shipping needs, staging/reorganizing
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Wear proper protective equipment, i.e., safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes and reflective vest.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be always alert and aware.
  • Comfortable with high heat areas/extreme cold areas.
  • Stand/Walk/Sit/Push /Pull/Climb/Crawl/Squat/Kneel/Bend
  • Lift/Carry-Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.
  • Reach Outward/Reach Above Shoulder
