Job summary

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. seeks Seasonal General Production Workers in Plover, Wisconsin, to support our peak pack season. Typical start is June with potential extension through late November/early December based on need and performance.

Employees may work across production, canning, warehouse, sorting, sanitation, cleanup, or packaging support. On‑the‑job training is provided, with cross-training across functions as needed.

  • Ability to safely work around conveyors, forklifts, production machinery, hot surfaces, and processing equipment.
  • Reliable attendance and dependability throughout the seasonal production period.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, food processing, agricultural, or industrial experience.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced or team-based environment.
  • Experience operating or working around manufacturing or packaging equipment.
  • Prior experience with sanitation, cleanup, sorting, inspection, or production support activities.
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, sort, and remove defective or foreign material from raw or finished product.
  • Support canning and packaging operations by monitoring line flow and product quality.
  • Supply materials such as lids, jars, or packaging components to production lines.
  • Maintain clean work areas, platforms, equipment, and walkways.
  • Assist with sanitation and cleanup throughout production and warehouse areas.
  • Operate assigned production equipment or assist equipment operators.
  • Monitor conveyors and production lines for jams, defects, or equipment concerns.
  • Handle product, packaging materials, or waste materials safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all food safety, GMP, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or product issues to leadership.
  • Assist with additional operational duties as assigned.

Job description

We are currently seeking Seasonal General Production Workers to support our annual vegetable pack season in Plover, Wisconsin. Seasonal employment typically begins in June and may continue through October with opportunities for extended work through late November/early December based on operational needs and employee performance.

Purpose of Position

Seasonal employees may work in a variety of production, canning, warehouse, sorting, sanitation, cleanup, or packaging support roles throughout the facility. Assignments are determined based on operational needs, training, and employee qualifications.

Accountabilities
  • Key Responsibilities for General Production Grade 1 Roles
  • Employees may perform duties in one or more operational areas, including:
  • Inspect, sort, and remove defective or foreign material from raw or finished product
  • Support canning and packaging operations by monitoring line flow and product quality
  • Supply materials such as lids, jars, or packaging components to production lines
  • Maintain clean work areas, platforms, equipment, and walkways
  • Assist with sanitation and cleanup throughout production and warehouse areas

Training

On-the-job training is provided for all assigned work areas. Employees may be cross trained in multiple operational functions based on business needs.
