Job summary

Carousel Checks Inc. in Palos Hills, IL is seeking a dependable General Production Associate to join our production team. You will help complete customer orders accurately and efficiently, following our quality standards and job instructions.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and employees may transition to a later shift if needed. Training provided for equipment such as mailing, packaging, and bindery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in production or printing preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of the printing industry is preferred but not required.
• Willingness and ability to learn production equipment and processes.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Operate mailing and packaging equipment; paid training will be provided
• Operate bindery equipment, including stitchers, paper drills, and folders; paid training will be provided
• Complete production jobs according to established quality and quantity requirements
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company and customer standards
• Follow job instructions and established production procedures
• Identify and communicate quality or equipment concerns to production leadership
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Follow all company safety procedures and equipment guidelines
• Maintain consistent attendance and arrive ready to work as scheduled
• Work cooperatively with team members and production leadership
• Assist in other production areas as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Previous production, manufacturing, or printing experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is eager to learn and grow within the company.

Schedule

• The current schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Candidates should have the flexibility to transition to a later shift in the future if required by the company’s operational needs.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain standing for the full eight-hour shift
• Must be able to perform repetitive work throughout the entire shift, including repetitive hand and wrist movements such as pinching, gripping, flexing, twisting, sorting, and reaching
• Must be able to repeatedly sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, pull, push, and reach overhead or laterally as required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have average or better eyesight and color recognition
• Must be able to perform the essential physical responsibilities of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Pay

Starting pay: $17.50 per hour. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
