Tyson Foods is hiring General Production Team Members for 2nd shift (2:30/4:30pm - 11:00pm/1:00am) in the United States. The role involves supporting Smart Chicken poultry processing with varied production tasks, rotating across facility areas as needed to meet operations and staffing demands.

• Hours: 2nd shift: 2:30/4:30pm - 11:00pm/1:00am
• Pay range: $16.15-20.85 (attendance bonus from $1.50-$2.50/hr depending on position)
• Location: United States of America

Summary

The General Production Team Members support the Smart Chicken poultry processing operations by performing a variety of production and labor functions as assigned. Team members will be placed in the position they chose at the time of hiring and may be rotated across multiple areas of the facility based on operational needs, staffing requirements, and business demand. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Hanging live birds
• Handling and processing inedible materials in accordance with food safety and environmental standards
• Trimming product to ensure proper quality standards are met
• Rehanger labor to ensure proper product flow

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Manufacturing environment with exposure to humid or warm temperatures, cold temperatures, wet conditions, and poultry products. (below 40°F)

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Repetitive motions and frequent use of hands and arms
• Lifting, pushing, pulling, and handling product as required by the position
• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 45 lbs
• Use of knives or cutting tools in designated roles, following all safety procedures
• Other Physical Requirements: Bending and stooping
• Occasional Squat, reach above shoulder (up to 2 ft.), crouch, kneel, balance, (Occasionally)
• Climb height: Occasionally (5 - 10 ft.)

Schedule and Flexibility

• Ability to work assigned shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Willingness to rotate between departments or positions based on operational needs

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
