Grande Cheese Company in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking a Conversion Generalist I to prepare, package, and inspect cheese products in a fast-paced environment. You will load cheese onto production lines, perform quality checks, monitor automated equipment, and complete production and regulatory documentation.

Responsibilities

• Load cheese onto production lines and perform quality checks.
• Monitor automated equipment and complete accurate production documentation.
• Assist in sanitation, labeling and coding, and identify product or equipment issues.
• Provide cross‑department support as needed (e.g., dice/shred, aged, vacuum packing, salting, peeling packaging, or tying).
• Maintain regulatory documentation and adhere to safety requirements.

Pay Range

Pay Starting at $22.89/hour

Pay Premiums:

• $3.00 per hour for night shift hours (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• $2.25 per hour for weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday)

Job Summary

The Conversion Generalist Irole is responsible for preparing, packaging, and inspecting cheese products in a fast‑paced environment. Duties include loading cheese onto production lines, performing quality checks, monitoring automated equipment, and completing accurate production and regulatory documentation. The position also maintains sanitation standards, ensures proper labeling and coding, identifies product or equipment issues, and provides support across the department as needed.

What you need to be considered for the role:

Physical Demands and Work Conditions:

This role requires the ability to regularly lift and move objects weighing between 20–50 lbs, as well as frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and exposure to vibration. The work environment may involve exposure to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold), high humidity, and loud machinery.
