Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

Job Description

Introduction

Our client is a hospital that provides care for dogs and cats and is currently hiring for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team.

Working Hours / Rota

The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and on Saturdays from 8:00am to 5:00pm. It is closed on Sundays. Doctor hours are to be discussed. This is a full-time position.

Role Description And Responsibilities

The Associate Veterinarian will develop a rapport with clients to understand their needs and wishes, perform physical examinations, and carry out diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures to provide the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress. Responsibilities include explaining examination findings, communicating diagnoses, generating and presenting treatment plans, and educating clients on preventative care such as vaccines and nutritional products. The veterinarian will maintain accurate medical and surgical records, follow established protocols, assist colleagues in ongoing case management, participate in Continuing Education, support the growth of the paraprofessional team, and positively represent the hospital in the community. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details

The hospital has been providing trusted veterinary care since 1941 and is AAHA Accredited since 1995 and Cat Friendly Certified. It is equipped with blood and lab testing capabilities, electrocardiogram (EKG), endoscopy, x-rays, tonometry, and ultrasound. This full-service medical center specializes in the treatment of dogs and cats, offering services such as wellness and preventive care, dental care, diagnostics, and surgery.

The hospital has a team of 7 doctors and fosters a collaborative environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
