Job Description

Introduction

Our client is a multi-doctor small animal hospital providing care for cats and dogs. They are currently hiring for a Lead Veterinarian to guide clinical quality and support the ongoing success of the practice.

Working Hours / Rota

The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. It is closed on Sundays. The hours for this position are open to discussion, allowing for flexibility based on the candidate’s preferences.

Role Description And Responsibilities

The Lead Veterinarian will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical care while supporting overall practice operations. This position is open to experienced veterinarians with strong leadership backgrounds, as well as those who may be earlier in their careers but are passionate about leadership development. Mentorship and growth into leadership are strongly supported.

Practice Details

This is an AAHA-accredited, full-service hospital offering a wide range of services including vaccinations, routine wellness checkups, care for illness and injury, imaging, surgery, dentistry, and prescription medications. The hospital is equipped with advanced technology such as digital X-rays, ultrasound, endoscopy, and digital dental radiography to support confident and comprehensive care.

The practice is staffed by a multi-doctor veterinary team and a tenured, experienced support team. The environment emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and a shared commitment to high-quality veterinary medicine.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
