Job description

This independently owned hospital has gone from strength to strength in recent years. They are looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian due to growth in clientele. The small animal hospital is open Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm, and only 2 Saturdays a month from 9am-12pm. The owner is currently the only doctor, but she is supported by a huge team of highly-trained support staff!

The hospital typically schedules their wellness/recheck appointments for 15 minutes, and everything else in 30 minute blocks. They also offer technician appointments, so you can deal with strictly doctor duties. The hospital typically blocks out 2 hours each day (12pm-2pm) for lunch, going over lab work, approving prescription refills etc. The owner is very proud of what the hospital has accomplished in the 8 years she has owned the practice, which has included updating all of their equipment! The list of equipment includes IDEXX inhouse labs, SediVue, Digital Cytology, Digital X-Ray, Dental and Surgical Areas, and much more! The owner really enjoys mentoring, so would happily take on anyone from New Grad up!
