Job summary

Qualifications

• MD or DO from US/Canada accredited by a recognized body.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license to practice in the U.S. or territories.
• At least one year of supervised clinical experience after degree.
• Education from a US/Canada-accredited school or equivalent recognized abroad.
• Credentials reviewed by Headquarters, USMEPCOM before final offer.

Responsibilities

• Convey updates to medical staff for entry into the MEPS applicant database.
• Ensure OSHA and Privacy Act compliance with USMEPCOM and DoD standards.
• Conduct medical records review, histories and exams per DoD standards; interpret labs; coordinate with consultants.
• Evaluate diagnostic results to identify disqualifying conditions.
• Perform comprehensive in-person histories after prescreening and authorization.
• Assess injuries/conditions across body systems and conduct orthopedic-neurological exam.
• Inform applicants of abnormal findings via consultation or written communication.
