Ashford Medical, part of Centric Health, seeks a Registered General Nurse to join our GP practice in Ashford, Co. Wicklow. You will perform immunisations, phlebotomy, chronic disease management, and health promotion, delivering patient-centered care.

We offer a 1-year fixed-term contract with flexible hours (15–30 per week), salary €26–€28 per hour, and benefits including pension matching, employee support services, sick pay after probation, and family discounts on GP visits.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered General Nurse with the NMBI.
• Experienced in phlebotomy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer literate and well organised.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Immunisation: administering infant, childhood, flu and other vaccinations.
• Travel vaccinations and travel advice.
• Chronic disease management: cholesterol testing and dietary advice.
• Blood pressure monitoring.
• Nursing management of chronic respiratory disease and diabetes.
• Female health: cervical screening, family planning, sexual health.
• Opportunistic STI screening and sexual health advice.
• Skin/wound care: treatment of venous ulcers and other injuries.
• General nursing duties and health promotion.
• Telephone triage and advice.
