General Practice (Medical Director Veterinarian)

A successful, steady-paced, and team-focused small animal practice is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join as Managing DVM in their three doctor team. This leadership role is responsible for both medical and non-medical leadership, managing associate veterinarians, and ensuring regulatory compliance in veterinary practices. The Managing DVM will foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration to deliver high-quality care.

The current Managing DVM is a board-certified surgeon, contributing to the development of a large specialty surgery, theriogenology, and physical therapy caseload. This position is ideal for a DVM with surgical interests. Responsibilities also include guiding the practice’s direction, advancing medical care, and monitoring the financial performance of the clinic.

Additional duties include examining and treating companion animals, interpreting diagnostic results, advising pet owners on preventative care and treatment options, performing surgeries, prescribing medications, and providing end-of-life care. The Managing DVM will maintain medical records and ensure compliance with relevant veterinary ethics, policies, and procedures. This is a great opportunity for a skilled and motivated veterinarian ready to take on a leadership role while continuing to practice quality medicine.
