General Permit Coordinator (Environmental Planner 2)

The Water Quality Program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a General Permit Coordinator (Environmental Planner 2) position. This position is located in our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA.

Overview

Along with our permit writers and rule writing project managers, you are an integral component to keeping water quality general permits, rules and 401 certifications on schedule and in compliance with laws, rules and best practices. You are well organized, self-motivated, enjoy collaborating with a team, have leadership qualities, and are interested in helping us advance our public outreach and Environmental Justice goals. If you like a dynamic position with opportunities for continuous process improvement, we are looking for you.

Responsibilities

Maintain and support the development and management of water quality general permits, rules and 401 certifications in alignment with applicable laws, regulations and best practices. Collaborate with permit writers and rule writing project managers to ensure on-schedule delivery and compliance. Contribute to public outreach and Environmental Justice goals and foster continuous process improvement within the program.
