Qualifications

• MD/DO required for physician leadership within pediatric outpatient care.
• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA approved post-graduate residency in Pediatrics.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Florida (or ability to obtain).
• Current, unrestricted Florida DEA license (or ability to obtain).
• Board eligibility or board certification in Pediatrics within five years of training.
• Meets requirements for medical staff membership and privileges.
• BLS certification is required; PALS as hospital appointment requires.

Responsibilities

• Provide part-time outpatient advanced practice care within a pediatric setting.
• Follow a schedule of 3 days 8am–5pm with 1:4 Saturdays 8am–12pm.
• Collaborate with pediatric physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality care.
• Participate in licensure renewals, maintenance of board certification, and administrative tasks.

Education, Licensure & Certification

• M.D. or D.O. degree required
• Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved post-graduate residency, or equivalent in Pediatrics
• Current, Unrestricted license to practice medicine or the ability to obtain in the State of Florida
• Current, Unrestricted DEA license or the ability to obtain in the State of Florida
• Board Eligible or Board Certification in Pediatrics within five years of completing training
• Meets all requirements to obtain medical staff membership and privileges as required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as required for hospital appointment
