Job summary

Providence Medical Group - Alaska is seeking a compassionate General Pediatrician to join a collaborative team in Anchorage, Alaska. You will provide primary care from birth through adolescence in a multi-disciplinary setting and promote preventive care, growth, and development.

The role emphasizes well-child exams, immunizations, and coordination with pediatric subspecialists, care coordinators, and behavioral health professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Alaska.
• Current DEA certification and BLS/PALS certification (or ability to obtain).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care for patients from birth through adolescence.
• Perform well-child examinations and developmental screenings.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions.
• Administer and counsel patients and families regarding immunizations and preventive care.
• Collaborate with specialists, care coordinators, behavioral health providers, and community resources to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, nutrition, and safety.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), Epic.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
• Support organizational goals related to patient experience, quality, and access.
