Providence is seeking a compassionate General Pediatrician to provide comprehensive primary care for infants, children, and adolescents in Anchorage, Alaska. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to promote preventive care and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions.

Providence is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered General Pediatrician to join the team in Anchorage, Alaska. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This physician will play a vital role in promoting healthy growth and development, preventive care, and management of acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care for patients from birth through adolescence
Perform well-child examinations and developmental screenings
Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions
Administer and counsel patients and families regarding immunizations and preventive care
Collaborate with specialists, care coordinators, behavioral health providers, and community resources to ensure high-quality patient care
Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, nutrition, and safety
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), Epic
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings
Support organizational goals related to patient experience, quality, and access
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
Eligible for medical licensure in Alaska
Current DEA certification and BLS/PALS certification (or ability to obtain)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in outpatient general pediatrics
Experience working in a team-based care environment
Interest in quality improvement, population health, and preventive care
Experience caring for diverse and underserved populations
Collaborative and collegial medical staff
Dedicated interdisciplinary care team to include CMAs, RNs, PharmD, pharmacy technician and social work
Close collaboration with pediatric subspecialists on-site
