Job summary

Providence is seeking a compassionate General Pediatrician to provide comprehensive primary care for infants, children, and adolescents in Anchorage, Alaska. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to promote preventive care and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions.

The role emphasizes well-child visits, immunizations, and collaboration with subspecialists, care coordinators, and social services to support patient-centered care and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Alaska.
  • Current DEA certification and BLS/PALS certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care for patients from birth through adolescence.
  • Perform well-child examinations and developmental screenings.
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions.
  • Administer and counsel patients and families regarding immunizations and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with specialists, care coordinators, behavioral health providers, and community resources to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, nutrition, and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR, Epic.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
  • Support organizational goals related to patient experience, quality, and access.

Job description

Providence is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered General Pediatrician to join the team in Anchorage, Alaska. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This physician will play a vital role in promoting healthy growth and development, preventive care, and management of acute and chronic pediatric conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care for patients from birth through adolescence
