Job summary

16VC is seeking a General Partner to join as a core member of the investment team. This foundational leadership role will focus on fundraising, investment strategy, deal sourcing, and portfolio support while enabling meaningful ownership in shaping the firm's growth.

This role requires a track record in venture investing, strong founder and operator networks, and the ability to source global opportunities. Equity participation and long-term partnership accompany the position.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in venture capital, startups, private equity, or tech leadership.
• Track record of investing in or building successful startups.
• Strong understanding of early-stage venture investing.
• Strong relationships with founders, investors, and operators.
• Access to LP networks including family offices and high-net-worth individuals.
• Experience in one or more areas: AI, deep tech, enterprise SaaS, fintech, Web3.
• Founder-first mindset, strong judgment, analytical thinking, high integrity, long-term orientation.

Responsibilities

• Fundraising & LP Relations: Lead fundraising efforts with family offices, HNWIs, and institutional LPs; Build and maintain strong relationships with limited partners; Represent the firm in investor meetings and venture ecosystem events.
• Deal Sourcing & Investment: Source high-quality startup opportunities globally; Lead due diligence and investment decision processes; Structure deals and manage investment execution.
• Portfolio Support: Work closely with founders to support product, hiring, GTM, and fundraising; Provide strategic guidance and introductions; Help companies scale from pre-seed to growth stages.
• Firm Building: Help shape 16VC's investment thesis and strategy; Build the firm's brand and presence in the startup ecosystem; Contribute to recruiting investment team members and advisors.
