Job description

PLEASE NOTE: Salary depends on experience. Yamhill County typically hires between steps 1-4.

Yamhill County has multiple full-time positions for a General Outpatient Therapist (QMHP) to provide integrated behavioral health services. The role involves using evidence-based practices to treat adults with co-occurring mental health conditions, such as serious mental illness, trauma disorders, and moderate mental health issues. Responsibilities include providing treatment, diagnosis and treatment planning, maintaining accurate records, effective case management, and collaborating with an integrated behavioral health team. The agency is committed to being trauma-informed and offers opportunities for professional development and skill advancement.

This position may be filled as either an Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician or a Behavioral Health Clinician, based on experience and credentials.

Salary:

  • Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician: $6,261 - $7,934/month (DOE)
  • Behavioral Health Clinician: $5,751 - $7,351/month (DOE)

Qualifications:

Required: MSW or master's in social services from an accredited institution. Additional requirements vary by role:

  • Behavioral Health Clinician: One year of experience as a Human Services Specialist I, or equivalent experience, and QMHP or CADC qualification. Licensing may be required.
  • Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician: Three years post-master's experience, active professional license as a QMHP or dual credentialed as a CADC.

Preference given to candidates with evidence-based practice training, experience in community mental health and addictions, bilingual in English and Spanish, and those with an NPI number or ability to obtain one. Background checks required.

Candidate Qualities:

  • Understanding of community mental health techniques
  • Ability to develop cooperative relationships with clients, families, and community agencies
  • Proficiency in documentation and communication skills

Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations. Compliance with federal health care program participation and other legal requirements is mandatory.
