Job summary

CEL Critical Power in Williamsburg, Virginia, is seeking a General Operator to perform daily tasks at a world‑class power solutions facility. You will learn and work to the highest Quality and EHS standards, with full training provided to advance your skills.

You will build switchgear panels, perform prep work, assemble mechanical components and wire harnesses, install panel doors, and assist with finishing and shipment preparation, all while keeping work areas clean and audit-ready.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong EHS and housekeeping awareness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as a team player.
• Well-organized, self-motivated and able to multi-task.
• Previous experience using hand tools.
• Good aptitude for mechanical assembly.
• Comfortable standing, bending and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Company's Quality Control, Environmental, Health and Safety Procedures.
• Assist in building switchgear panels using schematic, mechanical and general assembly drawings.
• Carry out preparatory work on switchgear components (e.g., cable stripping, label printing).
• Assist with the mechanical assembly of switchgear frames and components.
• Complete the assembly of mechanical components such as copper assemblies.
• Assemble electrical sub-assemblies including wire harnesses and panel plates.
• Assemble and install panel door assemblies.
• Support wrapping and preparation of finished products for shipment.
• Lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs. safely; stand for extended periods.
• Help in other departments as needed; maintain audit-ready housekeeping.
