Job summary

Orion Castings in Chelmsford, MA is seeking entry-level assemblers for the first shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday). No experience required—we provide on-the-job training in productivity, quality control, and real-world manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow production documentation, including assembly drawings.
• Capable of following work instructions and procedures.
• Willingness to learn productivity, quality control and machining basics.
• Safety mindset and use of PPE in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety by following PPE and safety policies.
• Perform duties as directed by supervisor or management.
• Follow work instructions and read production documentation.
• Use a microscope for certain operations.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and complete manufacturing documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Utilize hand and power tools as required.
• Assist in developing assembly methods for new/existing products.
• Collaborate with supervisor to improve processes.

Compensation & Schedule

• Base Compensation Range: $17.00 - $25.00 / hour

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Be mechanically inclined
• Capable of training other assembly personnel
• Ability to work with basic test equipment and tools to perform simple functional tests is a plus
• Capable of following directions, working with limited documentation and participate in generating new documentation
