Universal Graphics, based in Waterford, is seeking a General Operative for the Signage division. This hands-on role involves manufacturing, assembling and installing bespoke signage products, with opportunities to support installations across Ireland and develop skills within a growing business.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble and finish a variety of signage products.
• Operate hand tools, power tools and production equipment safely.
• Read and follow drawings, job sheets and work instructions.
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure work meets company standards.
• Prepare products for dispatch and assist with on-site installations when required.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and Health & Safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Production, Design and Installation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and undertake other reasonable duties as required.

Reports To: Production Supervisor

As a General Operative within our Signage Division, you will play an important role in manufacturing, assembling and installing a wide range of bespoke signage products. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to work in production, support installations across Ireland and develop new skills within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble and finish a variety of signage products.
• Operate hand tools, power tools and production equipment safely.
• Read and follow drawings, job sheets and work instructions.
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure work meets company standards.
• Prepare products for dispatch and assist with on-site installations when required.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and Health & Safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Production, Design and Installation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and undertake other reasonable duties as required.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction or signage is desirable.
• Good practical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Flexible approach to work with a willingness to travel throughout Ireland when required.
• Full driving licence desirable.
