Job description

Seeking a qualified BE/BC General Cardiologist to join a talented team!

The group has been providing exemplary cardiac care and services for patients of Somerset County and beyond for more than 30 years.

The department currently employs three full-time cardiologists, two of which are non-invasive cardiologists and one physician who is interventional cardiology.

There are two physician assistants currently at the practice, one full-time and one part-time, with a third full-time position in process of being added due to volume increase.

An EP also sees patients at the clinic one day per week and performs procedures at the hospital. The practice runs a pacemaker clinic once weekly.

The practice is located directly across the street from the hospital allowing for very easy access for going between the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Non-invasive cardiologists rotate weekly between inpatient and outpatient services and are supplemented by the physician assistants.

Hospital services consist of rounding/consults, TEE procedures, stress tests, echoes, and EKGs.

Medical call is divided among the non-invasive cardiologists with some supplementation by locums for weekend coverage.

Physician assistants provide some weekend rounding as well.

The interventional cardiologist is well-known throughout the region for his exemplary care and has been with the practice since 2016.

The medical cardiologists have both been with the practice since 2019.

Both physician assistants have been with the practice for several years working under the guidance of the Cardiology physician team.

The outpatient practice is currently using Epic as their EMR system. The hospital is currently using Paragon Allscripts, with a planned transition to Epic in the future.
