Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston invites applications for a General Neurology / Neurophysiology Faculty position. The successful candidate will provide adult neurology care with EEG interpretations, participate in call rotations, ward/consult services, and participate in teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology is required, with MD or DO degree. EEG training/experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Neurology.
• Strong commitment to patient care, medical student and resident education.
• Participation in research and scholarly activities.
• U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License.
• EEG training/experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide adult neurology care in outpatient clinics including EEG interpretations.
• Participate in call rotations with other faculty in the adult neurology service.
• Cover ward/consult services for adult care and teach medical students, residents and fellows.
