General Neurologist, Peconic Bay Medical Center
As we expand our neurological health services across the Northwell Health System, the Department of Neurology seeks a BC/BE general neurologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Peconic Bay Medical Center (PBMC) in Riverhead, NY. Northwell Neurology offers flexible positions, including inpatient, ambulatory, and neuro-hospitalist roles.
The Department of Neurology has experienced significant growth over the past five years, aiming to provide comprehensive, integrated healthcare and wellness services. Being part of this service line offers opportunities to connect with a large group of neurologists, participate in academic activities, grand rounds, conferences, and case discussions with subspecialty experts.
Our Northwell Health’s Institute for Neurology includes three top 50 U.S. News & World Report-ranked hospitals (North Shore University Hospital ranked #15), four comprehensive stroke programs, 11 primary stroke centers, and one thrombectomy-capable center.
The department is led by Dr. Souhel Najjar, a renowned neurologist known for his clinical, research, and teaching expertise. The department leverages the resources of Northwell Health and the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell to provide state-of-the-art care and contribute to advances in technology, education, and research.
Peconic Bay Medical Center, founded in 1951, is the largest hospital in Eastern Suffolk County and serves as the Eastern Hub of Northwell Health.
