Weatherby Healthcare is looking for a highly skilled General Neurologist to provide comprehensive care to diverse patient populations. This position involves diagnosing and managing neurological conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and engaging in continuous medical education within a supportive environment. Ideal candidates will hold a valid medical license in New York and have board certification in Neurology.
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate General Neurologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive neurological care to both inpatient and outpatient populations, diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological conditions. The neurologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and will have opportunities for professional growth in a supportive medical environment. Stroke coverage is provided by our existing neuro critical care service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and treat neurological disorders, including but not limited to epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, and neuromuscular diseases.
• Provide consultations for hospitalized patients and manage acute neurological conditions.
• Conduct outpatient visits, follow-ups, and long-term management of chronic neurological conditions.
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as EEGs.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in hospital call coverage on a rotating basis.
• Educate patients and families about neurological conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Engage in continuous medical education and professional development.
Education/Experience/Licensure Requirements
• Valid medical license to practice in New York State.
• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
