Expertise is required in the specific area of general nephrology, including the evaluation and management of acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease across all stages, kidney failure, and dialysis (in-center and home modalities), with the clinical skills necessary to provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient nephrology care. Clinical responsibilities may include providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients with a broad range of kidney diseases, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease (CKD), and end‑stage kidney disease (ESKD). Responsibilities may include ambulatory general nephrology care, inpatient nephrology consultations, and management of patients receiving in‑center and home dialysis at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and affiliated clinical sites.
