General Music and Choir Teacher - Starts 2025-26 School Year - Bush

Join Salem-Keizer Public Schools as a General Music and Choir Teacher at Bush Elementary School, starting in the 2025-26 school year. This is a .6 FTE, permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Provide artistic and instructional leadership for the K-5 music program and elementary choir.
• Design programming and pedagogy suitable for students' development.
• Align instruction with local and state curricular guidelines.
• Monitor and record student progress and achievement.

Qualifications

• Strong musicianship, aural skills, and vocal modeling.
• Competency in instruments such as keyboards or guitar.
• Knowledge of general music practices (e.g., Orff Schulwerk, Kodaly, Gordon).
• Experience with children's choir management and working with diverse student backgrounds.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and managerial skills.

Additional Information
