Wieland is hiring a General Mill Hand/ General Labor Pool- Class C. The General Mill Hand/ General Labor Pool- Class C will be responsible for processing products which meet or exceed customer specifications at an acceptable productivity level. With safety at the forefront, the training for this position is expected to last 8 weeks. After 8 weeks of training at either slitting line, the employee must complete High Risk Training to graduate to "A Rate" General Labor Pool and start to earn the bonus. This role is located in Heyco Reading, PA and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $18.36/hr plus shift differential and the opportunity to earn incentive bonus after 8 weeks of trainingSchedule: Second (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) or Third (11:00 pm - 7:00 am) ShiftTraining will be on first shift: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Responsibilities

General Mill Hand/ General Labor Pool- Class C Responsibilities:

• Comply with all safety regulations while in the plant.
• Comply with the Wieland Heyco Quality System and work instruction documents.
• Review the mill card prior to processing and understand the customer requirements.
• Assist at the assigned slitting machines and help with productivity.
• Handle material from slitting to shipping in the following manner: Banding, Skidding, Weighing, Identifying, Returning material to stock as necessary.
• Complete all quality checks and enter the required information onto the mill card.
• Comply with the Heyco Quality System at all times during processing.
• Keep the work area clean.

Qualifications

General Mill Hand/ General Labor Pool- Class C Qualifications:

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, bending, stooping, gripping.
• Frequent walking.
• Some lifting and carrying short distances (40 lbs).
• Manual dexterity needed to perform activities.

Essential Abilities

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform computations.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally.
• Assist the operator process with the customer order to completion from the mill card specifications.
