Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Stocking Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service with product knowledge and a friendly attitude. The role covers a variety of retail tasks from stocking to merchandising and customer engagement.

The position is part-time with 24–32 hours per week, requiring availability between 5 AM and 4 PM for 4–8 hour shifts. Physical tasks and teamwork are essential as you help ensure shelves are ready for customers daily.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work 5AM–4PM for 4–8 hour shifts.
• Approx. 24–32 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in backroom areas.
• Work with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.

This position will be responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude. This entry level team member position will be exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.

What You'll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your workensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You'll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated backroom areas
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

What You Bring

• You're comfortable learning and using basic technology
• You follow processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
