Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Expert to help guests efficiently and warmly. You’ll greet customers, assist with product location, and resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

The role includes receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining signs, and supporting the team to meet sales goals. Training is provided; candidates should be comfortable a fast-paced environment, flexible shifts, and lifting up to 44 pounds.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store.
• Experience in retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement.
• Executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments.
• Greet guests at 10ft and 4ft; initiate warm, helpful interaction.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you and support peers as needed.
• Assist with receiving product, stocking shelves, backroom organization, pricing, and signage.
• Operate power equipment if certified and follow safety procedures.
