Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Expert in Melbourne, FL to help create a welcoming guest experience and keep the store running smoothly. You will greet guests, assist with finding products, and support daily operations from stocking shelves to pricing and signage.

This role demands a customer-focused attitude, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility for varying shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store.
• Experience in retail fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency.
• Ability to support daily/weekly workload to meet priorities and sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments.
• Greet guests at 10ft and 4ft levels with warmth and helpful interaction.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Execute daily tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, pricing, and signage.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Follow Target policies and safety procedures and maintain a compliant workplace.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment tasks.
• All other duties based on business needs.
