Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Expert in Jacksonville, FL to help guests find what they need and create a friendly shopping experience. You will support stocking, pricing, signage, and backroom organization while following safety procedures and helping teammates deliver great guest service.

This role requires physical activity, flexible hours, and a positive, guest-focused attitude; training will provide the rest.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Retail fundamentals including sales trends, inventory replenishment and process improvement
• Executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments
• Greet guests and make eye contact or wave to start interactions
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers while staying positive and respectful
• Assist with receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, and merchandising set up
• Operate power equipment if certified to move merchandise or store fixtures
• Learn and follow operational procedures affecting inventory, pricing, and shelf maintenance
• Follow Target policies and safety procedures to maintain a safe workplace
• Support guest services such as back-up cashiers and digital fulfillment
• All other duties based on business needs
