Job summary

Target is hiring a General Merchandise Expert in Louisiana. You will greet guests, assist with their needs, and help keep shelves stocked, priced, and signed for a seamless shopping experience.

Daily tasks include receiving products, restocking, organizing backrooms, and putting up promotional signs. If certified, operate power equipment and support digital fulfillments and back-up cashier duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and a guest-first culture.
• Experience with retail fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency.
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks.
• Assist guests and resolve their issues on the spot.
• Thank guests for shopping at Target.
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize the backroom, and set up promotional signage for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or fixtures.
• Change prices, set up merchandise, and maintain inventory as directed.
• Learn how procedures affect inventory, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about total store resources to help guests and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate safety, ethics, and compliance.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes.
• All other duties based on business needs.
