Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked and customers have a smooth shopping experience. This entry-level role focuses on fast-paced, hands-on tasks across product placement, customer service and merchandising, with emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.

You will learn procedures, operate basic store technology, and collaborate with team members to meet daily goals and provide friendly service. Overnight shifts help prepare the store for the day ahead.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology
• Able to follow processes in an organized, efficient way
• Stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment
• Enjoy being part of a team and supporting shared goals
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move products from pallets or carts to shelves efficiently and accurately
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas
• Work closely with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
