Northwestern Memorial Hospital is seeking experienced and new grad nurses for our inpatient Medicine Units in Chicago. The registered nurse provides evidence-based, patient-centered care across a spectrum of diagnoses and acuities, collaborating with hospitalists and teaching services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN-accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use a keyboard to document patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based care for assigned Medicine unit patients.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teamwork to plan and coordinate care.
• Communicate with patients and families, including handoffs at shift change.
• Uphold nursing ethics, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
