Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a General Medicine physician to perform VA C&P disability examinations and review veterans' records. The role focuses on comprehensive assessments without ongoing patient care responsibilities.

Candidates should hold an MD or DO, possess an active license, and have strong documentation skills. Flexible full-time/part-time/PRN options are available with no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Board certified/board eligible General Medicine physician (MD/DO).
• Active, unrestricted MD/DO license.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience with disability evaluations or related medical fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform VA C&P disability examinations.
• Review veterans' medical records before each evaluation.
• Conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations.
• Accurately complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and reports.
• Document findings clearly and within established timelines.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines and HIPAA.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to complete evaluations on time.
