Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a General Mechanic for Facilities Management. This 20hrs/week role covers Thursday-Friday 3:30p-10p and Saturday 8am-3pm, performing skilled maintenance and repairs, rounds, and project support with other trades.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred; 2 years in general maintenance or related; drivers license required. Will work independently to complete work orders and preventive maintenance.

Job description

Position: General Mechanic

Hours: 20hrs/week, Thursday - Friday 3:30p -10p & Saturday 8am to 3pm

Performs skilled maintenance and repairs and a variety of maintenance and engineering duties for the Facilities Management Department. Assigned to work by the Facilities Management Staff on a regular basis. In addition, this position is called upon to work on projects with other trade mechanics, make rounds and report discrepancies to the Director of Facilities or any Facilities Management Staff. This position will assist with work to ensure that work orders and preventative maintenance work are corrected in a timely and cost-effective manner. Has a general working knowledge of areas of maintenance and repair. This position performs other general maintenance responsibilities not directly related to designated or licensed trade and works independently. Maintains and Performs equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and complex repairs equipment and other facility related equipment and structures.
