Job summary

Temple University Health System, Inc. is seeking a part-time General Mechanic to perform skilled maintenance and repairs for the Episcopal Campus in Philadelphia.

Working Thursday–Friday evenings and Saturday shifts, you will assist with work orders and preventative maintenance, ensuring timely, cost-effective results. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (trade school preferred) and at least 2 years of maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Trade School in any trade preferred.
• 2 years experience in General Maintenance or related required.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled maintenance and repairs for Facilities Management.
• Work on projects with other trade mechanics and report discrepancies to Facilities Director.
• Assist with work orders and preventative maintenance to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and complex repairs.

Job Description - General Mechanic, Part time - Episcopal Campus (263826)

Position: General Mechanic

Hours: 20hrs/week, Thursday - Friday 3:30p -10p & Saturday 8am to 3pm

Performs skilled maintenance and repairs and a variety of maintenance and engineering duties for the Facilities Management Department. Assigned to work by the Facilities Management Staff on a regular basis. In addition, this position is called upon to work on projects with other trade mechanics, make rounds and report discrepancies to the Director of Facilities or any Facilities Management Staff. This position will assist with work to ensure that work orders and preventative maintenance work are corrected in a timely and cost-effective manner. Has a general working knowledge of areas of maintenance and repair. This position performs other general maintenance responsibilities not directly related to designated or licensed trade and works independently. Maintains and Performs equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and complex repairs equipment and other facility related equipment and structures.
