The University of Scranton seeks a General Mechanic to maintain campus facilities, perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical and carpentry work, and assist with snow removal and move-in activities. This on-site role requires physical ability and a valid driver’s license, with evening hours Tue–Sat 3:00 pm–11:30 pm.
Essential duties include repairing plumbing fixtures, electrical devices, carpentry, trash removal, and custodial tasks during emergencies.

The position reports to the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor and performs minor electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry work for buildings on campus and off campus as assigned. The position also entails large-scale garbage pickup and will be diverted to help with snow removal work, pending weather conditions.
This position is considered essential personnel and is expected to be available in the event of emergencies
