Job summary

Nellis Auction, a Nevada-based re-commerce company, is seeking a General Manager to lead warehouse operations and teams. This role focuses on hiring, training, and developing efficient processes to enhance quality, productivity, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The GM will work with leadership to set budgets, define targets, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining safety and strong client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years experience as a manager preferred.
• Excellent customer service and leadership skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Proven communication and time management skills.

• Oversee facility staffing initiatives by guiding the ops managers through recruiting, hiring, and training of team members.
• Set directions and goals for warehouse operations with strategic planning; create action plans; improve productivity, quality, and service standards.

• Develop operating systems for product handling, storage, and shipping/receiving.

The ideal General Manager will be dedicated to providing excellent customer service in an efficient and safe environment. The General Manager will develop key operating systems, oversee inventory management, and maintain labor expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee facility staffing initiatives by guiding the ops managers through the recruiting, hiring, and training of team members.
• Set directions and goals for the operations of the warehouse with strategic planning; create action plans; improve productivity, quality control, and customer service standards; troubleshoot issues.
• Work with the Leadership team to prepare annual budgets, facility targets, and process improvement initiatives.
• Develop operating systems by determining product handling procedures, storage requirements, and shipping/ receiving processes.
• Continue to improve job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, networking events, and staying current with related professional publications.
• Manage all department managers, team leads, and team members - compensation, hours, schedules, absences, etc.
• Communicate all operating policies and/ or issues to appropriate managers and team members.
• Gather and review data to communicate opportunities and issues to the leadership team.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
• 5+ years experience as a Manager - Preferred
• Excellent customer service and leadership skills
• Highly Organized with attention to detail
• Proven communication and time management skills
• Ability to be on your feet all day and work in extreme temperatures
• Ability to lift and move hundreds of items daily ranging from 10lb-50lb
• Requires a high level of physical activity
• Being bilingual is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and stoop for extended periods (10 to 12 hour shifts).
• Occasionally climbing ladders and step stools.
• Manual dexterity to operate setup tools and equipment.
• Must be physically able to work in varying environmental conditions (hot/cold).
