Assistant General Manager – Leagues Restaurant (Kansas City Airport)

Position Overview: The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency, exceptional customer service, and adherence to company standards. The AGM plays a key leadership role in managing staff, optimizing workflow, and maintaining financial health while providing a high-quality dining experience for airport travelers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Staff Supervision & Development: Train, mentor, and manage front-of-house and back-of-house employees to deliver excellent service and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Customer Service & Brand Representation: Address guest concerns professionally, maintain service excellence, and uphold the restaurant’s reputation within the airport setting.
  • Financial & Performance Management: Assist with cost control measures, including food and labor expenses, revenue tracking, and sales performance analysis.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate with airport personnel, suppliers, and corporate leadership to ensure seamless operations and strategic alignment.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in an airport or high-volume setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, health codes, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
