Ace Hardware is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily store operations, drive sales, and lead a motivated team in delivering exceptional customer service. The role focuses on achieving targets, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and upholding ACE standards across merchandising and operations.

You will manage staffing, schedules, inventory, and financial performance while actively engaging with the local community and customers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years retail management experience; hardware/home improvement preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team to meet sales and operational goals.
• Customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic understanding of retail financials, inventory, and payroll.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations and ensure standards and goals are met.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop associates for service excellence.
• Achieve/exceed sales targets through customer service and merchandising.
• Manage store financials: sales, payroll, expenses, inventory.
• Ensure proper stocking, pricing, display, and maintenance.
• Monitor inventory, receiving, ordering, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming store environment.
• Follow ACE programs and promotions.
• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Participate in local community events and initiatives.
• Comply with policies, procedures, and laws.
• Prepare schedules and manage staffing to business needs.
• Lead by example and foster a positive team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
