Ultimate Staffing is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, drive business growth, and foster a culture of exceptional customer service and pet care for our Chicago, IL client (Lincoln Park). This leadership role is ideal for a proactive and strategic thinker with strong management experience and a passion for animal care. This is a direct hire role, 100% onsite. We're looking for passionate animal lovers!

Salary Range $75,000-92,000 - based off experience

Communication: Clearly and effectively conveys information to various audiences.

Conflict Resolution: Anticipates and manages disputes constructively to maintain a positive work environment.

Performance Management: Sets clear expectations, monitors progress, and provides timely feedback to support team success.

Financial Acumen: Understands budgeting, expense management, and cost-effective decision-making.

Vision & Leadership: Develops long-term goals and fosters a shared vision for operational success.

Safety & Care: Ensures a safe environment for pets, guests, and employees while proactively mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations to align with growth and profitability goals.

Team Management: Recruit, train, and lead a team of 35+ employees, ensuring high performance and engagement.

Financial Oversight: Manage labor costs and expenses to meet profit and loss (P&L) objectives.

Customer Experience: Address client concerns promptly, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.

Training & Development: Educate staff on customer service, safety protocols, and operational processes.

Compliance & Policies: Enforce company policies and maintain adherence to safety and care regulations.

Facilities & Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness, manage maintenance requests, and oversee inventory.

Crisis Management: Effectively handle emergency situations in both front and back-of-house operations.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years of managerial or leadership experience, preferably in hospitality, pet care, or service industries.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate a large team.

Financial Understanding: Comfortable reading and managing financial reports.

Adaptability: Must have flexible availability to meet operational needs.

Pet Care Knowledge: Experience working with animals is a plus.

Previous leadership experience in a similar role is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.

Comfortable working around dogs and cats for long durations.
