Job summary

MPI seeks a General Manager for a Milwaukee-area manufacturing facility to drive strategic growth and improvements across operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain.

You will lead budgets, KPIs, and cross-functional teams to deliver safety, quality, productivity, and profitability, while developing leaders and aligning with the company's growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of plant leadership across multiple functions.
• Experience with metal fabrication and CNC machining.
• Proven track record in lean manufacturing and process optimization.
• Experience with budgets, financial performance, and P&L.

The General Manager will lead the charge on strategic growth and improvement of our client's manufacturing facility in the Milwaukee area. This is a unique opportunity to join a business that has a clear vision for growth and expansion.

This opportunity is with a well-established, mid-sized organization servicing a variety of industries including automotive, industrial, and agricultural industry. They are a manufacturer of fabricated metals and hardware products servicing a global customer base.

Description

• Manage operational budgets and maintain accountability for P&L performance

• Provide overall leadership for the plant, overseeing Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, and other key functional areas.
• Drive operational performance initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
• Develop and mentor leaders across the organization while building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
• Partner with executive leadership to execute strategic initiatives, support growth objectives, and ensure the plant meets both short- and long-term business goals.
• Lead process improvement efforts, optimize manufacturing performance, and ensure efficient cross-functional collaboration throughout the operation.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field
• 5+ years of Plant Leadership with multiple functions, including production, engineering, Quality, maintenance, safety, and supply chain
• Experience with metal fabrication and/or CNC machining (stamping, presses, laser, mills/lathes, or similar processes)
• A strong track record of improving plant performance through lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience managing budgets, financial performance, and P&L responsibilities
• Ability to influence at all levels of the organization and drive execution
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.

Job Offer

• Base salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 depending on experience level
• Bonus opportunity based on performance and site metrics
