Job summary

Gila River Development's Sacaton Market is seeking a General Manager to oversee all store departments, including a gas station and laundromat, ensuring top-tier customer service and compliant, profitable operations.

You will drive budgeting, KPI reviews, staff development, safety programs, and a culture focused on results in a fast-paced retail setting. This role requires leadership, inventory control, and community engagement to support the Gila River community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in merchandising and/or management.
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a grocery store or related environment.
• Certification in food safety or sanitation (e.g., ServSafe, Food Handlers Card) within 30 days of hire.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid within 90 days of hire.
• Acknowledgement and agreement to maintain a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations of all departments to achieve sales and profitability.
• Develop business leaders through coaching and development.
• Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across all departments.
• Address operational challenges and make strategic decisions.
• Enforce policies and procedures to maintain excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Lead budgeting and monitor KPI to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Drive profitability through labor management, inventory control, and expense management.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the entire staff including Assistant Managers and Supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
