QSL Management is seeking a dedicated General Manager for Rivers Edge by Barclay House. This leadership role focuses on delivering exceptional resident service, strong operational performance, and a warm, community-centered experience.

You will oversee daily operations, manage budgets, lead a hospitality-focused team, and drive census-building efforts in a fast-paced environment. A passion for seniors and service excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, hospitality, or related field.
• 2–4 years of operations management experience in senior living, hospitality, or related sectors.
• Proven ability to meet financial goals and drive operational excellence.
• Strong history of coaching and developing team members.
• Experience with facilities management and preventive maintenance systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily community operations with full P&L accountability.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, development, scheduling, and performance management.
• Execute sales and operational strategies with Regional VP.
• Support and supervise the community’s sales efforts, including tours and calls.
• Manage labor, occupancy, expenses, and budgets effectively.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and a safe living/working environment.
• Foster relationships with residents, families, and teams.
• Monitor building needs and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct resident and staff meetings for open communication.
• Provide on-call coverage as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Primary Responsibilities of the General Manager

• Oversee daily community operations, including full profit and loss accountability
• Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, development, scheduling, and performance management of team members
• Execute sales and operational strategies in partnership with the Regional Vice President
• Support and supervise the community’s sales efforts, including tours, sales calls, competitive analysis, and census building activities
• Ensure effective management of labor, occupancy, expenses, and community budgets
• Maintain regulatory compliance and promote a safe, well-maintained living and working environment
• Foster strong relationships with residents, families, team members, community partners, and Support Center departments
• Monitor building needs, preventative maintenance, and overall facility readiness
• Conduct resident and staff meetings to ensure open, ongoing communication
• Provide on call, overnight, and role coverage support as needed to ensure smooth community operations

Requirements

RequirementsEducation & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, hospitality, or related field preferred
• Two to four years of successful operations management experience, ideally in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, hospitality, restaurant, or retail management
• Proven ability to meet financial goals and drive operational excellence
• Strong history of managing, developing, and coaching team members
• Understanding of facilities management and preventative maintenance systems
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with computer-based systems

• Must meet the standards outlined in the company’s Motor Vehicle Policy
• Valid driver’s license; position may involve driving a company or personal vehicle
