Job summary

DHL Supply Chain seeks a proven operational leader for a new startup operation in Wellford, SC. The General Manager III will oversee all warehouse activities, drive strategic processes, and steer a high-performing team in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, optimizing processes for cost savings and productivity, ensuring safety, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managerial/supervisory experience
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment
• Experience in 3PL and/or contract logistics is preferred
• Staff management experience is required
• P&L management is preferred
• Project management experience is preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred
• WMS experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs and maximize productivity
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching and building a strong team culture
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain a safe, clean, productive working environment
• Utilize WMS and automation to track inventory, monitor metrics and identify improvements
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services per the commercial agreement
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory, and other key metrics
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction
• Own the site's P&L and influence it through customer relationships
• Prepare and present MB/RQBR to customers with strong team collaboration

General Manager III - Distribution

The General Manager III role has a national salary range of $95,000 - $120,000.

Job Description:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support as needed, while also developing a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and oversee operational and personnel activities in the facility to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), automation and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while managing the site in accordance with the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site's profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customer, leveraging strong team collaboration.

Required Education And Experience

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience, required
• 2+ years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment, required
